Bascom Group Improves Education in Belize Through UNICEF WASH Project

Anne Kelly of UNICEF expressed deep gratitude to Bascom Group for its generous support and commitment to improving the lives of children in Belize. She explained that Bascom’s investment in repairing WASH facilities at three primary schools—New Horizon, San Pedro, and Caye Caulker—has already improved learning conditions and will continue to make a lasting impact. The project, completed in two phases of assessment and remodeling, has allowed students to focus on their education in a healthier, safer environment. Because of Bascom’s leadership and generosity, UNICEF was able to leverage more than $1.4 million in additional funding from the Government of Belize and other partners to expand the development of WASH facilities in Belizean schools. This contribution demonstrates how targeted investments can create ripple effects, uplifting entire communities.
