Overview

Bascom sources value-add multifamily properties varying in unit size and class type. Investment opportunities are identified in established, supply-constrained, infill areas with high barriers to entry. Geographic markets that are lifestyle destinations with growing populations and diverse economic job centers are targeted. Bascom’s goal is to improve asset quality and reach the level of similar properties within the submarket.

Once an asset has been acquired, Bascom repositions the property by:

  • Adding extensive capital improvements.
  • Reducing expenses through achieving operational efficiencies and implementing institutional-quality property management.

A value proposition is created for tenants, who receive a higher quality product at a lower price relative to competing properties. Bascom later sells the multifamily community as a stabilized asset within three to five years.

Bascom partners with numerous institutional equity partners including private equity funds, investment banks, family offices, and high net worth individuals.
